United States Treasury

The Treasury building, built in 1833, is a National Historic Monument located next to the White House. It was designed by Robert Mills, the Architect of the Washington Monument.
The Treasury building is the site of President Ulysses S. Grant's inaugural reception in 1869, and the office used by President Andrew Johnson after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
