Specification Guidelines
When you specify art and mirrors for your projects, in order to process your order exactly the way you desire and to ensure a smooth installation, please describe the following attributes:
Framed Artwork
- Image #
- Image title
- Artist name
- Outside dimension of the image when matted and framed (outside dimension equals the image size plus matting + the moulding width)
- Cropping specifications (please provide drawing)
- Frame style number
- Frame color
- Frame manufacturer (i.e. Roma, Decor, etc.)
- Glass type (regular or non-glare)
- Outer mat colors and name
- Inner mat colors and name
- Mat configuration size (same on all sides or custom?)
- Any custom treatments such as hand-wrapped linen mats, wood fillets, etc.?
- Show or conceal image titling?
- Glass or Plexiglas? (Plexiglas not recommended in guest rooms except hospitals)
- Mounting hardware (i.e. anti-theft locking brackets or wire?)
- Any additional attributes, questions or concerns
Mirrors
- Quantity required
- Outside dimension (o.d.) of the mirror(s)
- Inside dimension (i.d.) of the mirror(s)
- No bevel, 1" bevel or 1½" bevel
- Moulding preference. Please specify manufacturer, (e.g., Roma, Decor, etc.) and item number.
- Do you want the mirror to hang horizontally or vertically?
- Which installation system do you prefer — security hanging or french cleat
system?
* We use OSHA #1 Vinyl backing on all framed mirrors to prevent shattering.
